Hello All,
Clicking on the Mozik EPK will tell the whole story. You will not want to miss these world-class musicians, fresh from their New York City Blue Note engagement, playing jazz with a Brazilian perspective, right here in Boise on December 9th & 10th.

Introduce your friends and acquaintances to our great BJS artists--forward this email, send them to our website, and/or tell them about the free events that surround our BJS Sunday evening concerts: the 4 pm Sunday Symposia Series at Esther's Place and the Monday BSU Jazz Residency events from 2:30-6:30 pm in the Morrison Center Recital Hall.
Our BJS membership numbers are bigger than ever, but we still have a few 3-concert memberships available. For a great way to support the continuance of the BJS Series, consider gifting a friend during this holiday season, and remember that student memberships are half-price.
Concert night reminders at the Esther Simplot Academy:
- Free parking is available at all surrounding academy lots and the 9th and Miller St Parking Lot conveniently located just west of the academy and free to our BJS patrons--be careful crossing 9th Street.
- Table and concert seating is non-reserved and doors open @ 6:15 pm--most folks come early for the social interaction and their choice of seats.
- Share your table--we are all friends of jazz.
- Some members are bringing their own food into the concert--BJS board members must clean up Esther's Place after the concert, so please, "If you packed it in--pack it out!"
After many years, I am back directing the Boise State Big Band, and with Chuck Smith's great expertise we have put together two wonderful student jazz ensembles, who along with the BSU Vocal Jazz Ensemble, have prepared a diverse repertoire of jazz styles. I invite you all to come out to our annual Boise State Fall Jazz Concert, this Tuesday, November 27th @ 7:30 pm in the Morrison Center Recital Hall. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors, and all students are FREE. Proceeds benefit BSU music scholarships. (Parking available @ Brady Street Garage)
Whether you Christmas in New Orleans or in our Warm Valley, your December will be hotter after hearing Mozik.
All the best,
Mike
BTW: Dara Longobardi, a passionate BJS member and a contributor to our society, wants you all to know that she's ready, willing, and able to help you with all of your vehicle needs--see her Hertz Car Sales info on our BJS website.
